Product Description
MORNING GLORY: Morning Glories are one of the best flowers to decorate fences and walls. The vining plants have gorgeous trumpet shaped flowers that open in the morning time. Each bloom only lasts a day, and the delicate flower fades with the advancing sunlight. The flowers also attract hummingbirds.

Picotee Blue Morning Glory: Beautiful, deep violet blue double flowers trimmed in white. Truly an exquisite flower. Climbs to approximately 5 feet. May also be used in hanging baskets. Soak seed 24 hours before sowing. If starting indoors, plant 4-8 weeks before last frost. Prefers sun.

Proper name: Ipomoea purpurea 'Picotee Blue'

I bought these at his eBay store, and mine all germinated but were ALL white with a very light pinkish star...pretty but not what I bought...

Thanks,

take a look at the seed catalogs you may get in the mail, Burpees, etc....
They always use special lighting, etc to make all their fruits and veggies look perfect. The catalogs are sort of a Playboy magazine for gardeners and not reality.

Not a snowballs chance you will ever get what is photographed.

1 out of 5 stars Completely Different Flower   October 9, 2009

The flower does not remotely resemble that pictured. It is a conventional very small blue morning glory with a white throat.

I received these, planted and I got pink blooms. Pretty yes but I wanted as pictured. I am disappointed as they were not as pictured. : (

Picotee Blue Morning Glory 10 Seeds

Just an FYI: I ordered these seeds from Thompson & Morgan - generally a pretty upscale company - and my results were just as dismal. They refuse to grow. Started some sporadic blooms at about an inch to inch and a half high which were a blah shade of lavender - no picotee. I've got one now which is actually trying to vine - about 4 inches high. The foliage is weak and sparse. They were a severe disappointment.
